I've never been able to get into a silly RPG.  I know how stupid that sounds.  I don't need all my entertainment to be "serious/dark/mature" but I've never really found one that grabbed me.  I enjoyed Super Paper Mario, but that's more of a platformer with dialog than anything.  I don't know why; I'm just weird I guess.

You should try it out.  It's a great silly RPG.  Some puzzles like Super Paper Mario but also turn based battle and leveling.  But not super serious.  A wonderful collaboration between Square and Nintendo.

I'm not much for "silly" RPGs either.  Comedy games just don't seem to have the writing talent to make it work for whatever reason.  Earthbound is a rare exception to that, along with Super Mario RPG just being so well made that it didn't matter if it was slightly flat comedy.

Finished Mario & Luigi 3 last night.  The final boss battles just kept coming.  Geeeeez.  But it was still a good game.

I'll probably go through Touch Detective next.

I'm slowly working my way through New Super Mario Bros, trying to get all of the star coins in each level.  I will probably pick up Mass Effect again at some point, but my gaming time is severely limited when rehearsal is going on, and then with performance as well.

If you don't like Mass Effect, don't feel obligated to play it, Luke.  You can burn through it in like 15 hours, 20 at most if you skip all the resource mining and other boring crap you shouldn't do anyways.  You've had that game at your disposal for over six months.  I get the feeling it's not meant to be.

I like the story, I think I just got too caught up in doing the side quests and I just don't like driving around in that stupid tank thing.  I think I also usually feel bad playing the 360 because it is on the main TV and then no one else can do anything if I'm using it.

For maximum enjoyment of Mass Effect, never do a Mako mission.  They took them out of ME2 for good reason.

Even with doing all the Mako missions, I would still say Mass Effect is my third favorite game of all time.

The original Perfect Dark is coming to Xbox Live next month.  They didn't remake it, but went back to the original assets and upscaled the whole thing.  They also added online multiplayer.  I never had an N64 so I didn't play Perfect Dark much.  But if any of you other 360 owners are interested, I'd be willing to pick this up so we could play online together.

That might be exactly what the doctor ordered.  I LOVED playing multiplayer PD.  Of course one of the best skills I honed was screen hoping <.<

Well, you might just have to use your skill instead of cheating to win, then Wink
